About Dr. Holly Stepaniuk
I am a Registered Psychologist in the province of British Columbia. I was born and raised in the Greater Vancouver area. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. I then earned my Master’s degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with distinction from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California. My doctoral dissertation examined Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in women who had experienced domestic violence. I interned at Camarillo State Hospital in California, then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Hoahana Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii. I then returned to Vancouver, where I worked as a psychologist for Wilson Banwell Employee and Family Assistance Program. In my private therapy practice in Chilliwack, I provide marriage counselling and individual therapy for adults. I have 27 years of clinical counselling experience with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I have been accepted by the Supreme Court of British Columbia as a psychological expert in the assessment and treatment of psychological injury as a consequence of traumatic events, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, stress, mood disturbances, family dysfunction, and chronic pain within the context of clinical psychology.
